I feel awful every time I hear a student has been harmed by a teacher.  I feel awful every time I hear a teacher has been harmed by their union.  I feel awful every time I hear a parent cannot get their child into a decent school.

Our schools are no place for awful.  Yet there it is: lurking, damaging.

Teachers, take the time to understand what’s causing the awful.  Without understanding it, we can’t change it.

Unions protect teachers who’ve harmed students.  Unions haven’t provided legal protection to teachers who need it.  Parents are lied to by unions about school choice.

It’s awful.  School is no place for awful.
