Empowered Teachers Are: Readers

Nagging, subconscious questions about out-of-control students? Gut-feeling that “something just isn’t right at my school”? You’ll see after reading Why Meadow Died that yet again teachers have been shoved to the back when it comes to school policies that directly affect them and the students they love.

Real teachers know the importance of loving, healthy discipline in their classrooms. The usurpation of behavior policies for student discipline has had tragic results.  You need to read: Why Meadow Died by Andrew Pollack and Max Eden.

“Whoever heeds discipline shows the way to life, but whoever ignores correction leads others astray.”*

“[Train up] children in the way they should go, and even when they are old, they will not turn from it.”**.

For more perspective on answers to the nagging, “something just isn’t right at my school”,   read Standing up to Goliath by Rebecca Friedrichs.  Real teachers can make a difference  only when they understand who and what is driving the education system.

Avoid apathy. Be empowered: Read these books.

(For the time-pressed: Try reading one chapter per night; you’ll be done with both books in less than two months.)

Both titles are available on Amazon.
