I’ve just been reading a teacher union publication. On two pages, corporations are excoriated for – get this – making money! Also known as: profits. How dare they!?
I wish teachers’ unions would explain a couple of things:
1) The existence of the NEA Member Benefits Corporation (profiting off teachers, right?)
2) The teachers’ unions acceptance of corporate sponsorships (the unions realize no sponsorships can be given if there are no profits, right?)
It’s difficult to swallow the excoriation of corporations when the accusers themselves are – making money! From: profits! How dare they!?
